Reino Unido retira nuevos trenes de CAF por defecto grave

En resumen, son una serie de coches de pasajeros que llevan 4 años en funcionamiento y van a ser retirados (posiblemente desguazados) porque tienes graves problemas en la estructura y las suspensiones.

CAF cracks compound Transpennine Express woes

Transpennine Express (TPE), the troubled passenger operator recently taken back into public management by the UK government, has encountered another setback with the temporary withdrawal of its fleet of Spanish built rolling stock. The company has been marketing its fleet revamp as a step change in passenger provision, but that has hit the buffers with the problems encountered with the brand new CAF Mk 5a locomotive-hauled coaches. This latest reputational blow comes after a string of complaints about timekeeping and reliability, along with a scandal involving the company’s concealment of cancellation levels through manipulating regulatory loopholes.

Se va el dinero en hacer diseños extravagantes (un frontal como el besugo no les valía al parecer) y luego para lo que es realmente importante, como es la integridad estructural, no queda.

Otro más a sumar a la lista del Oaris noruego y los Urbos de Sidney, Birmingham, Besançon y Belgrado.

Por cierto, parece que a los Hitachi de las series 800, 801 y 802 les ocurre algo parecido.
